Natalia Hatz (Natalia Hatzopoulou) was born on August 3, 2000 in Athens. She is an up-and-coming composer, pianist and cellist. She started composing in 2010 and since then she has been awarded in composition and film music competitions.
In 2015 she won the 1st Composition Prize in the Panhellenic Competition of the H.O.N. (Choir & Youth Orchestra ) for the piano piece ”Silence” and the 3rd Composition Prize for “Transition”, a piece for cello and piano.

She studies classical music at the Erateio Conservatory, where she received her Bachelor of Harmony with Honours Unanimous. She continues her studies in cello with Christoforos Miroshnikov, piano with Effie Terzaki and theory with Adriana Kandylas. She participates in various youth ensembles including the Underground Youth Orchestra. In 2018 she graduated with A distinction from the Experimental Music Lyceum of Pallini. In the same year she started studying Musicology at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she is now a fourth-year student.

Her interest in composition led her to film music as she began to participate in music competitions for short films.In 2017, he was awarded 1st Runner Up in the Marvin Hamlisch Film Scoring Contest, USA (Youth Category).
In 2019 as well as 2020 he was in the top 10 finalists in the Oticons Faculty International Film Music Contest.Her first music publication, Chrysalis (Piano Works), was released in 2020 and features her award-winning piano compositions.Her symphonic three-part work, Three Dragons, was performed the same year by the Underground Youth Orchestra at the Benaki Museum. In the summer of 2021, she participated in the Screen Composer Academy Summer Program, an intensive seminar aimed at composing for media. She is currently continuing her studies at the conservatory and university as well as composing music for independent short and feature films.
